2.6.2.2 released
I just released 2.6.2.2. This is a rollup release we a bunch of bug fixes and the latest version of all our packages. All trixbox users are recommended to upgrade to this release. Especially 2.6.x.x users.
This release resolved the problems with the package manager not working and some PSTN cards causing kernel panics when the system is rebooted. There are also a number of small GUI fixes and enhancements. I also added support for some of the new Realtek netwrok chipsets that are not supported by CentOS 5.2
Please download the latest ISO from our repo
for existing systems please do a yum update from command line.
yum update trixbox
This will get the fixes to the GUI and the package manager. You can also update zaptel to get the kernel panic fix.

I'd like to know if the SOURCES of the tbm-GUIcore-2.6.2.2-1 and trixbox-2.6.2.2-1 will be avaiable on de SRPMS repo??
Why was the package manager not working?
Hi Andrew,
Why was the package manager not working? I've installed 2.6.2.2 on a test box and the package manager is not connecting. It sits there with the message "Downloading updated package list" for a minute or two and then I get an error message "Error: the server returned the following HTTP status: 500". Was this the problem with the package manager previously or is this a new problem?
Also available on the trixbox.leadmon.net archive.
Maybe just the connectivity at that time, but I had one hell of a time, and slow download trying to get the updated ISO from the sourceforge link. Anyway now that I have it, I placed it in my trixbox archive for any that are having issue getting the update, or for any that would like to use rSync to get a smaller download. As always it's complete with MD5 and SHA256 checksums.
Here is the posting from the forums on how to access the archive:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As I have always done with prior versions of trixbox CE, the new trixbox 2.6.2.2 release is now available for download from the trixbox.leadmon.net site.
You can access the images vi rSync, FTP, or HTTP. Users using rSync, per a good recommendation from bubba, you can grab the updated image as trixbox-2.6_current.iso and any updates when released for 2.6 will get you a much smaller transfer.
Info on how to rSync is in this thread:
http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/open-discussion/trix...
You can FTP the images from:
ftp://trixbox.leadmon.net/trixbox
You can HTTP/WEB the images from:
http://trixbox.leadmon.net/ftp/trixbox/
As always locally generated MD5 checksums are available, as well as the enhanced SHA256 checksums for all files in the archive.
HTTP error
Mine also yields, "Error: the server returned the following HTTP status: 500" when clicking into package manager as dbenwit notes above.
Very long and slow download time as well.
Downloads
It always take a while for the SF mirrors to sync up.
Other mirror?
I had no speed problems on my home connection, the download came in at a steady 2+ megabyte per second, so I had the complete ISO downloaded in 4 minutes...
I'll be installing tomorrow, if time permits.
Package manager HTTP error
I got the same HTTP error trying to access the packages. "Error: the server returned the following HTTP status: 500". Fresh install from the 2.6.2.2 ISO. I had a 2.6.2.1 install that I updated to 2.6.2.2 and the package manager still worked post update but not with a fresh install of 2.6.2.2. Odd.
Error: the server returned
Error: the server returned the following HTTP status: 500
Received:
fix HTTP status: 500

Edit /etc/php.ini
Change timeout to 300, Change Max Mem to 256MB
This worked for me.
Re: fix HTTP status:500
tpick,
I tried your solution and it seems to work for me. Just to get things clear, the parameters which I changed in php.ini were the following:
max_execution_time = 300
memory_limit = 256M
in the Resource Limits section and restarted web server for good measure.
SirB211, I am also using a fresh install of 2.6.2.2.
HUD3 Support?
When will hudlite 3 or hud3 be supported on Trixbox CE? I have seen on the portal an option to setup a photo for hud 3, but haven't seen a managment tool or server for hud 3?
We are working on HUD3 for
We are working on HUD3 for CE. It will be released when it is finish. Allowing uploads of pictures for each extension has potential beyond just HUD3 that's why we released it early. For example the new SNOM 820 phone has photo caller ID. It could be used for that as well as photo callID in HUD3.

Andrew,
I beleive I've found a problem with the asterisk rpm included in trixbox 2.6.2.2. This is the link to the comple post:

Hello all, I have a newly
Hello all,
I have a newly built trixbox that I used the most recent ISO to build. I built it yesterday. I was able to update all modules via module admin, and was able to get backup/restore installed on it as well. I am having the same issue mentioned above where the packages tab will timeout with an http server error 500.
I have updated the php.ini and have restarted the server. Still no joy. Same error.
Any help would be appreciated.
Tnx.

Installation problem
I couldn't install it on HP box. After language selection it shows blue screen and stuck. Previous versions are worked fine with that box.
server 500 error
I get this error wit the latest version:
"Error: the server returned the following HTTP status: 500" when clicking into package manager
increasing those values worked for me too
I made the same changes and the package manager started to work.
Tom
Works for me too, but need to restart apache afterwards
I'm sure you linux guys thought this was so obvious that it didn't need saying, but this is required for the php.ini changes to take effect:
httpd -k restart
I did it in /etc/init.d - that may not be necessary, but it worked for me.
Hope this helps someone.
Alasdair.
backup and restore for 2.6.2.2
I can't find the backup and restore in GUI anymore. Any know why? Is it removed? Thanks.
Realtek Drivers in TB 2.6.2.2
Hi Andrew,
In your blog post above you said "I also added support for some of the new Realtek netwrok chipsets that are not supported by CentOS 5.2"
Do you know if you added support for one or both of these:
- RealTek RTL8102EL
- RealTek RTL8111C
Or perhaps other people on this forum have had TB 2.6.2.2 (or another recent version) working fine with one or both of these realtek LAN adapters?
Thanks.
Has anyone used the yum
Has anyone used the yum update rollback feature to restore a previous version if the update causes problems?
calls are unable to be transfered or conferaned in at this time
i have recently installed trixbox ce 2.6.2.2 and we are unable to transfer or conference any calls.
