FOP

I updated the FOP framework package in PBXconfig. It should work with trixbox 2.8 now. Can somebody who was having problems test it and post the results?

WAY TOO BIG

The buttons are soo big i cant see the trunks or conferences make it smaller

TOO BIG

Please fix the buttons!
Is it possible to go back to the old version?

Oops...

+1 to "Please fix the buttons!"

has the FOP always been

has the FOP always been required to scroll left and right to see all of the options? I tried it in Chrome, FF3.5, and IE8 and found it really useless because I had to scroll so much to the left and right.

Buttons too big

I also am having the issue with the buttons being too big

Buttons so large it's useless!

I want to preface by saying that I appreciate you guys working so hard on the FOP.

That being said, the latest update makes the buttons approximately 200 pixels wide by 50-60 pixels high. (I don't have an exact measurement.)

I'll try and update with a picture if I can.

*Update: This pic is taken of my parking lot and zap channels, which are approximately 2-3 "screen widths" to the right of the actual colored background area.

*****RESOLUTION****

It's all a bunch of weird tweaks in the settings in the op_style.cfg. Like button size being 246x70, Icon scaling being in the high teens (16 17, etc.) instead of the usual 6.

If you have a Trixbox install, you can try to do what I did. I copied over a clean op_style.cfg from /htdocs/admin/modules/fw_fop/var/www/html/panel/ to /var/www/html/panel/ and then ran '' amportal restart_fop '' and hey presto! everything is back to normal.

Yes it worked

Yes James5mith it worked! Tks :)

This why I asked everybody

This why I asked everybody to test this for me. I don't use FOP and I just added the new FOP and the new config files. I can't use all the old config files since there are a lot of changes in the new FOP. Looks like they may have changed some of the FOP defaults.

If I replace the new op_style.cfg with the old one will this fix all the problems? if that is all that is required I can have a new release soon.

James5mith Solution Works

That worked for me, also.

His screen capture was similar to my FOP before replacing op_style.cfg.

Same issue... restored FOP

Same issue... restored FOP from snapshot backup I did. This should reinforce the importance of backing up key files before any upgrade or update. (Yes I know, preaching to the choir)

there should only be two files updated

There have been no feature additions or config file changes in the latest FOP aside from a seemingly half hearted attempt at Asterisk 1.6 compatibility, and FOP is a separate project that is not setup by default to work with FreePBX. So, for maximum compatibility in interfacing with Asterisk in conjunction with FreePBX, probably none of the files in the /var/www/html/panel directory should be changed except for the op_server.pl and operator_panel.swf files. These are the FOP server application and the associated Flash file for the client web page. Using other files that come with the 0.30 version of FOP from the asternic.org site might risk damaging the interface between FreePBX and FOP.

I haven't tried out Trixbox 2.8 yet. So, these are just thoughts from what I think I know about the relationship between FOP and the FreePBX application which includes it. If the original op_server.pl code had been customized in any way by the FreePBX people, then there still might be problems even with changing only these two files.

FOP 2.5.0.2 - big buttons

Hello,

I'm using trixbox v2.6.2.3 and my FOP shows big buttons to me. I copied the original op_style.cfg file to /var/www/html/admin/modules/fw_fop/htdocs_panel, but I can't fix my FOP.

Any idea about this issue?

Best regards

Jaderson

SOLVED - FOP 2.5.0.2 - big buttons

Hello,

I'm sorry for my last post. I can fix it now, there is two files in two different folders.

Best regards,

Jaderson

No Trunks

I have 2.8 running with the new FOP and fixed the buttons. But I can only see my IAX trunk - not the 2 dahdi trunks on my rhino card - though the trunks are configured and working. Is there something else I have to do?

It this ready for us noobs to give it a whirl

I would like to use this on 2.8.

What do us point and click people need to do to give it a go?

I tried to get FOP2 to work but for what ever reason I messed it up, I would be happy with the updated old one.

I found the solution , may be help someone
Just edit the op_buttons_custom.cfg and make it
like custom or ISDN trunks

[_DAHDI/1.*]
Position=54
Label="PSTN 1 [xxxxxx]"
Extension=-1
Icon=3
Panel_Context=default

[_DAHDI/2.*]
Position=55
Label="PSTN 2 [xxxxxx]"
Extension=-1
Icon=3
Panel_Context=default

[_DAHDI/3.*]
Position=74
Label="PSTN 3 [xxxxxx]"
Extension=-1
Icon=3
Panel_Context=default

[_DAHDI/4.*]
Position=75
Label="PSTN 4 [xxxxxx]"
Extension=-1
Icon=3
Panel_Context=default

Well, thanks to kostas_dak,

Well, thanks to kostas_dak, you are my hero, man. Now, I can use DAHDI with FOP. IT works best with me. -

Additional FOP Fix

If you used James5mith' fix to get the FOP back to normal and still have the words in the buttons cut off then edit the /var/www/html/panel/op_style.cfg file and change
set label_extent_x=100
run '' amportal restart_fop ''

The original size was "label_extent_x=10".

Cheers, Marcello

Not all trunks show

What kostas_dak posted works but then FOP hides the status of my SIP trunk. What I noticed was the following line was the same for both my 1st POTS line and my SIP trunk:

Position=54

I changed the positions to different numbers I and now I can see both.
I did modify the op_buttons_additional.cfg for this and it works.

HEEEELP

Hi I has this problem today after upgrading my TB 2.6, at the begining my buttons were big and no trunks were displayed. I fix that with James5mith solution but now on PBX settings the all the statistics are steady they dont change, I have to reload the entire page to see the changes on active calls etc. I will apreciate you are time so much thanks.

Hi Andrew. I've just

Hi Andrew.

I've just installed (again) version 2.8.0.3 and I still can not get FOB to work. Only my extensions show up?

Do you have any suggestions?

Carsten

Fix for large buttons

I had the large button problem after the FOP upgrade. I used the [DAHDI] settings described above to get my trunks back, and set op_style.cfg to the below in order to correct the display styling. Don't forget to kill -HUP op_server.pl to make it pick up the changes.
