trixbox 2.8.0.3 released today

2.8.0.3 is mostly a rollup release. CentOS has gone from 5.3 to 5.4 if you do a yum update on the old 2.8 ISO you get about 300mb of packages as it upgrades you to CentOS 5.4.

trixbox 2.8.0.3 includes CentOS 5.4 and all the latest CentOS update. We did not update the Kernel. This will be done early in the new year.

I have added a few bug fixes as well.
- fixed the sql problem that was keeping CDRs from working on some system
- fixed some asterisk permission problems that where appearing on some systems.

You will see a kmod error during the loading of this ISO. This is a bug in anaconda and the package does in fact load fine.

2.8.0.2

did 2.8.0.2 also have 5.4 as that is what im running
Kernel Version 2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 (SMP)
Distro Name CentOS release 5.4 (Final)
also was the delay issue fixed and the php timezone issue fixed?

Yum update - no new files

I just ran a:

yum clean all
yum update

and didn't see any new files?

After running:
cat /etc/*release* from SSH I found that I'm already running CentOS release 5.4 (Final).

My Asterisk is : Asterisk 1.6.0.10-FONCORE-r40

However, the Trixbox interface still displays: Trixbox v2.8.0.1

Should the Trixbox maint login version get updated? Today's YUM didn't yield any new files, however a couple YUMs were run over the past weeks.

Thanks!

I'll push the update to the

I'll push the update to the yum repos in a few days.

The timezone issue was fixed

The timezone issue was fixed but I'm not sure this fixes the delay issue.

MD5 Check No Good

Am I the only one not getting good MD5 results after downloading the Nov. 30 2.8.0.3 ISO?

New MD5 number is working.

New MD5 number is working. Thank you.

Asterisk Manager did not load

Ive tried installing this release on a Dell Poweredge 1950 III and also just a virtual box for cent os.

In both cases during the install process red error messages appear that are difficult to read as they are blocked by the install dialog. But from what I can see the message is something like:

kmod [...] packages [....] i686' does not require a kernal [...]

Also, when it does complete the install it says "Asterisk Manager did not load" and nothing works.

Are there any problems with this Distro??

Those messages are "normal"

Those messages are "normal" I think for this release. Their is a bug as mentioned that causes it but should not break anything.

Ahh, yes. Sorry. I should

Ahh, yes. Sorry. I should have seen that in the first post.

However, possibly unrelated to that message, on the virtual machine and the dell machine I get the same result with the "asterisk manager" not loading.

Any ideas why this might be happening on a simple default install?

Thanks.

trixbox 2.8.0.3 Bug?

I just finished installing a fresh copy of trixbox 2.8.0.3 from CD. I added 3 extensions (clicked Submit) and click on Apply Configuration Changes. From the browser, everything seems to work fine. At the console screen, this message "/var/www/html/panel/safe_opserver: line 7: 2430 Terminated $FOPWEBROOT/op_server.pl" pops up right after clicking Apply Configuration Changes in the web browser. This happened on 2 machines I've tested.

That is normal. I have seen

That is normal.

I have seen that on all the versions of TB I have done. I forgot the reason for it but its post some place.
