Hi,
I have 4 trixbox 2.8.0.4 linked together by IAX trunks via vpn connections set up in the draytek routers on site. I have a problem in that the IAX trunks between sites 1 & 2 have gone down, the IAX between site 1, 3&4 are ok, as are the IAX trunks between sites 2, 3 & 4. I can ping succesfully from any trixbox to any other trixbox so can understand why this IAX trunk is down. All the sites have static ip addresses from the ISP so that rules out one potential source of issues, if any one has got any idea as to why this has happened or can point me to somewhere in the forum where I could find an answer to this problem I would be most grateful. Ihave googled and searched the forum and have found nothing similar to this so far.

When you have 5 minutes when you can cut off IAX altogether, login to asterisk CLI and module unload chan_iax2, then wait 61 seconds and module load chan_iax2.
That might fix it if your configuration is good. Sometimes if one of the internet links goes down there is a wrong state in the state table and it will never start working again unless you restart the server or simply unload IAX, wait for the state timeout (60 seconds) and reload IAX.

It just started working again all on its own!!!! weird!!!! thanks for the help stechnique I shall try that should it happen again. I checked the router logs and there was no sign of an outage any of the sites. I guess I will have to monitor this one. If I get to the bottom of it I will post on the forum!
