Cisco 7945g Firmware (read this if you have issues with missed call notifications, SIP registration, etc)

Thought I'd create this as I spent some weeks trying to fix this issue. Doesn't seem to be anywhere on the forums that identifies this specific item either. Eventually found a scrap of info on the site that I bought our trix appliances from that hinted at very specific firmware on these phones being particularly strange compared to other models, so I cycled through every available SIP firmware on the Cisco site.

If you use this device, you must use version 8-5-4, otherwise you will have weird little issues.
Here's a list of some of the problems I saw:
1) Calling and receiving calls works fine, but random drops in speech
2) Miss a call and it continuously flashes at you. I had a dozen such notifications at one point, can't cancel or clear unless restarting phone.
3) Missed calls menu fails with nasty looking error
3) SIP doesn't register (mainly related to v9 of firmware).
4) Multiple lines don't work, or will only allow you to have the same line repeatedly.
5) Headset that worked on older model wouldn't allow the headset button to be enabled.

Occasionally you get multiple issues, sometimes the issues occurred randomly across the phones we installed.

Sidenote: if there is a post already that I missed while researching this issue, please delete this post. I wanted primarily to save the next person some anguish on these awesome phones.

Hmm I didn't get the

Hmm I didn't get the previous notification, sorry waisfarzam.
8-5-4 fixes this issue. We had to rewind the firmware from the default v9 on the devices. waisfarzam; to correct the problem you need to load the firmware onto the trixbox server, and update the loads file and default xml to point to the correct version.
