Pass faxing through one asterisk box to another

After reading several posts and http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+IAXmodem I'm still trying to wrap my arms around this guy. We have Trixbox 2.6.1.1 and as our call center telephony box. We attempted to test faxing on this box a while back but learned that it crashes asterisk. So we turned faxing off.

I'm looking at this again and would like see if it's possible to pass faxing from our callcenter trixbox to a dedicated faxing server without purchasing more hardware and without crashing asterisk. We have a T1/PRI which i'd like to pass several DIDs to a faxing server. Is that possible? Do i need hardware to terminate the fax?
Can i do the following:

inbound DID fax -> T1/PRI -> main asterisk box -> IAX2 -> fax server

Would love to use Hylafax+.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

You shouldn't need two

You shouldn't need two boxes. I posted documentation on installing hylafax on a box awhile go. It works very very well.
