Chan_mobile in 2.8.0.1

Although Andrew got chan_mobile working in the asterisk 1.4 versions it was never 100% successful on our setup (we never managed to solve the problem with static interference when the call connected). As this module was designed for asterisk 1.6, I assume it will be more successful with TB 2.8. When will this be built in to 2.8 versions?

Nothing urgent, but it would be very useful to get this working correctly. Mobile calls are our biggest phone expense (even using BT discount plans) and using mobile network bundles would be the cheapest way around it.

No Pairing

I've spent many hours trying to get it working to no avail. I have yet to get a phone to pair with the box. I've given up and ordered a GP-710.

I can get it working okay

I can get it working okay with my iPhone but 4 out of 5 calls then go "shkkkrrrkkk" when a call is connected. So works fine whilst dialing ... trr trrr ... but then it is "Hello ... shkkkrrrkkk... click". :(

You have it working in 2.8?

You have it working in 2.8? Would you mind sharing the process you used to get pairing to work?

chan_mobile pairing

Guys,

I have the same problem with pairing:
In my hcid.conf I have it customized with pin1303 and id PBX, but when my iphone finds it it comes up as "Computer" and
I am not able to authenticate with "1303" or "1234"
Any clues?

Regards,

Bart

Sorted...sort of...

I have it working on my fresh 2.8.0.3 on Asus EEE Box B202. I am now able to pair any mobile or headset, but it is not PnP. It requires manual work as per following guide: http://wiki.bluez.org/wiki/HOWTO/Bonding
That wouldn't be a problem, but... the fun starts when I am trying to use chan_mobile. I am getting all sorts of interferrences. If I have 2 phones connected at the same time it get's worse. Haven't noticed any problems with system resources. I think I'll leave it for a while and in the mean time will get BT-SIP external device.
