I have a trixbox, on a static external IP, no NATing, that has been setup and working for about 2 years. All of the sudden today, it started dropping calls after 20 seconds. This is all calls... (internal, external, inbound and outbound). here is my "asterisk -rvvvvv" print out...

Any ideas would be great, as 20 seconds is not much time for a call...

What phone are you using?

I recently had this crop up for one user. It turned out to be a known bug with X-Lite in our case. The only fix I could give him was to send him on a hunt for different software. Very unsatisfying for both of us. My logs looked a lot like yours with no real indicator of anything wrong. Looks just like they decided to hang up.

I hope that helps, if not I'm not sure what you can do. I googled around a bit and it looks like this has been a problem for a while and my painstaking, exhaustive research (a whopping 5 minutes) turned up no real fix. I'm not very good at this, so hopefully someone better at it will come along with more help.

edit: trixbox version will probably also be helpful :)

Did the external IP change??

Did the external IP change?? perhaps you have a wrong externalip setting on you sip.conf (sip_nap or sip_general_custom).

External IP has not changed

External IP has not changed as it is a static external IP on the box.... no NATing.... Problem seems to have went away as quickly as it started.... totally confusing....
