Hi,

I currently have a trixbox setup with 3No. local extension and a remote extension. I am using snom 300 ip phones on all extension - after a bit of tweeking all is working prefectly.
I want to change the remote extension to use a 3102 adaptor with normal digital cordless phones. To set up the remote extenison I have the snom setup to register to a dynanic host and entered the ID and password.

For the 3102 I have been through Kerrys Wiki but he sets up a specific trunk. I would prefer to setup as an extension only (if possible) I already have a single trunk which is linked to all extensions.

Can this be done?

How?

I currently have setup the register and user details in the line 1 and pstn line sections (same settings in each) and I have a dial tone but if i make internal calls I get the dialing tone and if I try external calls I get a tone (starting quietly) during dialing as if not conected followed by the same tone loader when I finish dialing.

You can have the spa3102 as

You can have the spa3102 as a remote extension no problem.

You will need to have static IP on the Internet connection for the site with the trixbox, and and you will need to open/forward the SIP and RTP ports (5060-5061 and 10000-20000) to the trixbox.

Then you simply make an extension on the trixbox for your remote phone (make sure all your extensions have a very strong password, if you can connect a remote extension then so can a potential hacker)

On the SPA3102 line tab, you set the proxy to the static IP and the user/pass to match the extension

SPA 3102 with remote extension

As per previous post I have already had a snom 300 as the remote extension and it worked - so all ports are forwarded etc and the trixbox setup is ok.

I have tested the SPA3102 as the remote extension and I can take incoming calls (external and internal to the trixbox) I cannot make calls either internal or external. Setup is as follows.

Proxy and Registration

proxy: XXXXXXXXXX@dyndns.org
outbound proxy: XXXXXXXXXX@dyndns.org
use outbound proxy: yes (also tried no)
use OB proxy in dialog: no
Register: yes
Make Call Without Reg: no
Register Expires: 120
Ans Call Without Reg: no
Use DNS SRV: no
DNS SRV Auto Prefix: no
Proxy Fallback Intvl: 3600
Proxy Redundancy Method: Normal
Voice Mail Server:
Mailbox Subscribe Expires: 2147483647

Subscriber Information
Display Name: Remote Office
User ID: 550
Password: XXXXXXXXXX
Use Auth ID: yes
Auth ID: 550
Mini Certificate:
SRTP Private Key:

I am sure as I have prevoiusly setup a remote extension here it is a minor setting issue maybe with the outbound proxy settings.

Can anyone help? Also I assume the SPA3102 software is OK, which I reset or update this?

Ok, Its probably in the dial

Ok, Its probably in the dial plan setup of the SPA3102, it needs to know when you dial a number whether to use the PSTN or VoIP line.

By default I believe that it will want to use the VoIP line, so you could try doing a factory reset and starting again but if you want to play around with settings, its on the PSTN Line tab, make sure that VoIP-PSTN gateway and PSTN-VoIP gateway are both enabled. and make sure you have a dial plan configured on the LINE 1 tab.

SPA 3102 Dial Plan

Hi,

I think you are right and it is a dial plan issue. Currently the SPA3102 has to following dial plan in the line tab

(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

None are setup in the PSTN line tab. but I can still receive trixbox external and internal calls. (Don't know if i plug in the normal land line if the calls will go to the phone.

Can someone give me a dial plan for the line tab - I tried the following but it does not work (extn is 660).
