DS0's as local extensions

I have a setup with a quad t1 card and I have one of my t1 channelized for all 24 channels. I'm using 2 of the ds0's as extensions - 3001 and 3002 and I have 2 SIP extensions 4001, 4002.
SIP extentions works fine, SIP to DS0 works find, DS0 to SIP or DS0 to DS0 does not work. I have been able to make 3001 ring it self and rout to 3002 with out a problem.
I was told to look at my dial plan - but since I'm not an expert doing the ds0/ds1 side of the pbx world I need some help.
