GUI shows CPU usage jumping between 100% and 0%

When I run top actual cpu usage doesn't seem to go past 5%, but FreePBX thinks its at 100% about half of the time. I'm not sure what changed but it's been running correctly for a couple of months now.

I'm experiencing the same problem on a relatively new install.

trixbox CE current release is 2.8.0

CPU jumps from 0 - 100% in the GUI, but show's less than 5% in the CLI when I run 'top'.
