I have been searching forums and google for hours so I apologize if I missed a similar post somewhere.
System: Dell Optiplex GX270, P4 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD
Trixbox 2.6.2.2, PBXconfig 2.4.0, Voicemail Module 2.4.0.1
I am having a strange issue on my Trixbox that started last week. All incoming calls are never picked up by voicemail when a direct extension is dialed, it just keep ringing and ringing.
Voicemail WILL work if the caller is directed to voicemail by other means, such as; going through the IVR’s “tree” if you will, Ring Groups, being manually sent to voicemail via HUDlite, or if the person being called is on the line.
No known setting have been changed on the Trixbox, this appears t have happened on this own.
Here are the steps I took:
1. Callers were telling me that when they were trying to leave a message they were getting cut off and disconnected from the system after a few seconds.
2. I tested by calling in on my cellphone and after 4 seconds of leving a voicemail on my extention I was disconnected.
3. I rebooted the Trixbox and ran another test.
4. After rebooting I am no longer disconnected from voicemail. In fact, I no longer get sent to voicemail, it just rings and rings.
5. I tested the IVR system, called into our phone system and pressed 1 for sales and let the system do its rounds ringing all the sales peoples phones (testing done when no one was around) when no one answered I was directed to the Voicemail as specified in the Ring Group and IVR. And was able to listed to the voicemail without issue.
6. I again tested direct extensions from inside and outside lines. No dice, just ringing.
7. I removed 3 phones and the extensions, unplugged the phones and rebooted the Trixbox server.
8. I recreated the user extensions and the Phones and rebooted again. No change.
Here is my voicemail.conf (with usernames and emails changed):
