I dont know whats happening but lately several Trixbox installations on different networks seem to have contracted some sort of bug thats going around. The symptoms are the following

1. Will not display in IE, only Firefox, the page looks like its going to load but then comes up as Page Cannot be Displayed
2. In Firefox, if you go to Extensions page, "Create New Extension" is gone also when you click on an extensions details on right hand side, the entire details does not load. there is no scroll bar to see further down so it stops around the fax email fields
3. When I try to do a Module Update it gets stuck around 4% of downloading a new framework and just freezes, during this time if I were to Ping the machine it would spike up giving me latency from 20ms, to 300ms and as high as 700ms, out of nowehere. As soon as I exit the page, latency stops

The system will continue to work so long as I dont touch anything, and the status bar shows everything in the Green in terms of performance. its literally as if the GUI has gone Nuts

Usually I would not be worried, but the same issue occurred on a completely separate box and installation.

I went ahead with a yum update and now under /maint I have 2.6.1.13 but still the issues occur

Any help would be great

Thanks

Reset IE and Reinstall Java

I've gone through this on my new Vista x64 laptop. Resetting Internet Explorer (Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - Reset) and removing and reinstalling Java fixed me up.

Ok I have now gone to the

Ok I have now gone to the 7th different computer. We are talking about Windows XP, IE 6, IE 7, Vista 32, everything

All having the same issue. Its definitely Server side on Trixbox. I think there is some sort of infection or security flaw which has been taken advantage of. The scary thing is that this happened at the same time on two different servers on different networks and different internet connnections.

youve been

youve been hacked
http://trixbox.org/search/node/xajax.js

you need to close port 80 to your server.
as a fix, the only thing you can do is change the port for apache - webmin is good for this.
Never ever again open the web portal to the public.

only 4569, 5060, and 10000-20000 should be open.

so if i change the port number everything will work as normal again? also is there a way to remove this?
last question, you say to close 80
which i will do for the backend admin
but what about the recordings section
i need people to still be able to access
this section from wherever can this be left open?

Do they need to access the

Do they need to access the recordings remotely? If so I only have two options for you, a VPN or using a proxy like squid.

cool. btw before you sent me

cool. btw before you sent me the answer I idiotically removed ARI when I did a Yum Remove httpd

I was able to get it back, but I dont think its all there. Basically when I login I see the voicemails but when I go to any section of ARI like "phone features" it kicks me out to the login page.
