No access to Voicemail

After installing Trixbox I no longer can use my Cisco 7960 messages button to retrieve voice mail.

In fact the whole voice mail system seems wonky. I can record my unavailable message using *77 and listen to my message(the one clients hear when the call in) using *99. When I call in to leave meassage when no one answers phone I get Alison's voice saying "person at ext 226 is unavailable please leave ...etc" The person can leave a message but I can't access it with my phone with either *97 or *98.

I do not have all modules loaded but I see no module for voicemail specifically, is it hiding?

In AMP there was a default sytem to record your outgoing message and retrieve e-mail using *97

Help!!

Re: No access to Voicemail

Discovered that you need to connect to the online repository link at top of module page and download and install the voicemail module.

May I suggest tht that module be installed by default as creating a new extension has the voicemail option but it will not work until the module is downloaded and installed.

Or perhaps a little tooltip can be included on the voicemail enabled page for extensions that says the module must be enabled to allow voicemail to work as expected

Re: No access to Voicemail

all of the features of FreePBX have to be installed. Before they were all installed by default. Now you must install them. as a bonus you can now use the web GUI to change any FreePBX feature code.

Check out FreePBX.org and post there is you have an problems with FreePBX.

Re: No access to Voicemail

Same problem -- only having issues connecting to the online repository, so all voicemail is down on the install I'm playing with for the moment. Here is the error message:

"Warning: file_get_contents(http://amportal.sourceforge.net/modules-2.1.xml): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! in /var/www/html/admin/page.modules.php on line 445"

However if you put the http://....xml on the address bar the file is returned instantly, no problem.

Bug?

Re: No access to Voicemail

Go to freepbx.org and take a look at the bug list, it is there.
