Hello,
New here... and after doing some search first, i need help with a recently installed Trixbox CE version 2.8.0.1.

For some reason it´s not detecting my OpenVox A400P card (1FXS/1FXO).. the card shows in devices but dahdi doesn´t report any channels or cards installed.

Already did the setup-pstn without success and also reinstalled the entire trixbox machine, no success.

Is there any reported problem with this mix? thanks!

Sergio.

/proc/dahdi/1

Hello,
Thanks a lot for the quick reply! here´s whats in the file.

Span 1: WCTDM/4 “Wlidcard TDM400P REV E/F Board 5” (MASTER)

1 WCTDM/ 4/0
2 WCTDM /4/1 FXSKS RED
3 WCTDM/4/2
4 WCTDM/4/3

For some reason it´s not detecting module 1 which is an FXO card also... what´s next?

Thank you!
Sergio.

For the module that seems to

For the module that seems to not be present on slot one, this is your FXS module. Do you have power to the card via the molex connector on the A400P? If so, try reseating the FXS module or perhaps move it to slot 3 or 4.

With the red alarm on slot 2, does it go away with a "dahdi restart"?

Removed all modules and reseated them on same ports, reconnected the molex power connector, now it shows as this:

Span 1: WCTDM/4 “Wlidcard TDM400P REV E/F Board 5” (MASTER)

1 WCTDM/ 4/0 FXOKS (in use) (SWEC: MG2)
2 WCTDM /4/1 FXSKS (in use) RED (SWEC: MG2)
3 WCTDM/4/2
4 WCTDM/4/3

After doing the "dahdi restart" on the Asterisk CLI the file shows the same.

Just to verify, you have a

Just to verify, you have a phone line plugged into port 2 on your card?

It looks to me like this "red alarm" comes from some line tests that Dahdi is now reporting on. If you don't have a line hooked up to the box, then the line test will fail and the box will report the "red alarm" condition.

Solved.

Hello, thank you all!

After re-connecting the modules, removing and plugging back power and connecting all the lines, the RED went out. Inbound calls works perfect, also outbound. Not to forget to do setup-pstn again..

Now i need to deal with some echo on the FXS side... but this kind of questions should be directed on the Trunks forum i guess... since i need to ask also some things about using trixbox with an ISDN BRI for a client that i will be installing soon.

The main thing about this forums is that you get help! i´m new into trixbox, and linux also, but this version of trixbox, against all the other flavors of asterisk, for me, seems to be the easiest to use.

Thanks a lot!

Sergio.
