Hey there,

I`ve made a sound clip for the IVR, the file is in WMA, I converted it into WAV, the problem is the files is 11 Mb now, when I try to upload the wav file I get a blank screen on the freepbx system recordings. When I upload another wav file the default hold on Music of asterisk I get a successful upload message, Either I am using a wrong software to convert the file. Could someone clear me out on how to do this ?

Thnx,
Yuni

Re: Problems with Sounds for IVR

File is WAY to big for this
and if you MS the file may in the wrong format (many .av file formats)

You need to play close attention the TYPE of wav file you create

OPen the wav in windwos sound recorder
then do a s saves as and use the correct encoding (the is a popup tip some place on the recordings page I think

22,500 / pcm / 16 bit I think is right but check it

BUT 11 meg file no way too big.... (I think the limit for upload is set to 2 meg that would be in the PHP.ini I would guess
