reboot with v1.1 trixbox results in server lockup

ever since i upgraded to trixbox v1.1, i've noticed that everytime i tell the system to reboot (via gui or cli), the box seems to go down, but not come back to life.

services, etc die (as do pings to the ip)... and never will restart. a power-cycle of the box brings things back to life. i never saw this problem when i was running trixbox v1.0. nothing else on system has changed. this happens even after the box was blown-out and rebuilt.

anyone seen anything like this?

are you using a generic X100P card? if so then try amportal stop before you reboot. (that's the advise I was given)

Re: reboot with v1.1 trixbox results in server lockup

how'd you know i was using a x100p card???? you been snooping inside my trixbox???

just kidding... but, i did put that in about the time i went to v1.1, and that's when the problem started. how about that!

thank you for the input, i figured no one would have a clue!

i'll give it a shot! now, just need to write a little script to shut 'er down by doing a amportal stop, then reboot.

I have the lockup issue on

I have the lockup issue on my server.
Its a Supermicro X5DPL-iGM 2x 3.06Ghz Xeon CPU's.
LSI Mega RAID 300-8x with 2 40GB drives in Raid 1.
When I reboot the machine, it shuts down all services as normal, but at "restarting machine", it hangs. Ive left it there for hours and still hangs. If I press the Num lock key, the light doesnt go out like normal, which is a sign its locked up. If I enable watchdog, it will restart the machine, but I cant leave watchdog enabled as it will restart the machine when its sitting at the login prompt, which would be normal use.

Is there something that im doing wrong? Or some service that causes the lock up?
