IP0020 Phone Password?

I just bought one of these on Ebay - can't seem to find the default password. I browse to the phone's IP, it says "Enter Password" and I can't get any further. Tried 0000, 1234, password, admin, and some of the obvious ones.

9999 does not work

aero:
I've tried 9 to 9999999, 0 to 0000000 1234, 12345678, admin, password, root, secret

Scott:
I have no idea what software these phones are running. I just browse to its IP and am confronted with Password:
The rest of my phones are snom -- I just need to add a few cheap phones to the system that don't need features.

IP0020 Phones

Can someone post the configuration file for these phones? I am using Cisco adn HItachi phones and I got them to work, but can't get this one to work. Built pretty nice. Seems to be a good phone. Just need configuration info.

The password is eithe Voip or Admin. That is what my users manual says. I have the manual for the phone, but I still can't get it to work. Send me an email or message if you want the manual.

Does the IP 0200 Work?

Haven't got it working yet. Driving me nutz.
Have a feeling there's just a configuration issue -- but all I know are SNOM settings and I can't tell which are compatible.
I'm a Newbie anyway. Here are some of the settings of the IP 0020 phone. Got Ideas? My EXtension is 116 - it is not showing as registered in the Trixbox panel. It gets a dialtone, but when I dial out used to say "Call cannot be completed) now it just waits a minutes, does a fast dialtone, and displays "4" in the window.

Menu: SUPER OPTIONS --> SIP Settings
SIP Server Address: same as SNOM (IP address or URL)
Outbound Proxy: Same as SNOM (IP address or URL,if any)
SIP User ID: 116 (Assigned user ID or phone number)
Account ID: 116 (Can be same as or different from SIP User ID)
Authentication Password: Same as Secret in Trixbox
Name: 116 (Optional)
Use DNS SRV >No Yes
User ID is phone number >No Yes
SIP Registration >Yes No
Unregister On Reboot Yes >No
SIP INFO Safety Yes >No
("Yes",Enable incoming SIP messages from SIP server only)
Register Expiration 3600 Seconds (Default 1 hour, max 45 days)
Local SIP Port 5060 (Default 5060)
Local RTP Port same as SNOM (1024-65535, default 5004)
Use Random Port >No Yes
NAT Traversal >No Yes, STUN server is: (URL or IP:port)
Keep Connected Interval 20 Seconds (Default 20 seconds)
Use NAT IP
(if specified, this IP address is used in SIP/SDP message)
Proxy-Require
(if specified, the content will appear in Proxy-Require header)
Send DTMF in-audio >via RTP (RFC2833) via SIP INFO
DTMF Payload Type 101
Send Anonymous >No Yes (If "Yes", caller ID will be blocked)
Send Flash Event >No Yes (Flash will be sent as a DTMF event if set to "Yes")

Of course, every time I make a change on a screen, I have to wait while the phone reboots.

Same with me

Mark,
DId you add anything to your SIPDefault.cnf file in Asterisk? I have the same settings as you and I can't even get a dial tone, but I can dial out?? Figure that one. NO dial tone, can't dial to the extension, but it will dial other extension and to the PSTN, via a SIP trunk.

I am beginning to believe these are just junk phones.

Anyone help?

Jeff

What settings did you use for TrixBox. I used what mark has above, except for SIP Registration and all works except calling the extension. Audio both ways, calls out, etc.. But calls to the extention go directly to voicemail. What are the settings on the "extension" also.

Thanks
Jeff

IP0020

Hello - The documentation isn't as straight-forward as I wish it could be. =)

I just bought this one too. I know that the password is either admin or voip. Problem is - I can't even get to the phone setup. What address am I supposed to put in the browser? The IP address listed on the phone seems too long and doesn't work either - ###.###.###.###

Thanks for your help!

James

Well... I just added a new router and looked at what was attached to the router. Voila. The device's IP address is listed and I can now access the setup. Wasn't what was listed on the phone. =(

DETAILED REVIEW of IP0020 phone

Hey everyone -- since there seems to be a lack of information about the IP0020 phones out there, but at the $20 price point everyone seems to want to know whether it's worth buying ... I have written a DETAILED review of my experience with this phone.

http://uncensored.citadel.org/~ajc/ip0020/

Summary: the phone does work, and the audio quality is quite good, but the software has a couple of bugs that require some workarounds. Basically I was not able to get the phone to register, which explains the problem some people were having with no dial tone, so I configured it as a peer with a static IP address instead. Read my review for the full workup, including photos, and the full configuration for both Asterisk and the phone itself.

For $20.00 shipped on eBay

For $20.00 shipped on eBay how can you go wrong.

The registration issue is a bummer, your workaround is perfect.

trixbox users will need to put the extension code in sip_additional_custom.conf and include the from-internal context.

I have been trying to get my hands on the CP0021 and IP0021 as they both support IAX. A wifi IAX phone even if it is a POS could be a fun novelty as it should work through virtually any NAT.

Please don't forget the wannabees! Explain Last Post?

Can you please explain:
trixbox users will need to put the extension code in sip_additional_custom.conf and include the from-internal context."
in terms like "Open the xxxx menu and click on yyyyyy. Add zzzz to...."
I have a
sip_additional.conf file and a
sip_custom.conf
but no
sip_additional_custom.conf

Based on the instruction in the EXCELLENT post at
http://uncensored.citadel.org/~ajc/ip0020/
I opened sip.conf and added:

[120] My EXtension)
type=peer
canreinvite=no
dtmfmode=rfc2833
nat=no
context=default
insecure=very
host=192.168.1.220 IP of the Phone

The only thing that doesn't work is when I tried to dial extension 120 from another phone. The IP0200 doesn't ring.... possibly because I don't know what I'm doing in the sip_conf.

FYI I did notice that when I click on the Advanced Options of the IP0200 I got a page not found at
192.168.1.220/config.htm
which I solved by changing the url to 192.168.1.220/CONFIG.HTM
It wants the caps.

No Incoming Ring

Great - I've got the context set and I believe I've done everything as shown.
The phone still shows as not registered but perhaps that's normal? (IS IT?).
120 (Unspecified) D N A 0 UNKNOWN

Dials out fine, but wont ring when I dial that extension -- goes right to Voicemail.
Should I be looking in the phones config or the trixbox pbx extension config?

[120]
type=peer
canreinvite=no
dtmfmode=rfc2833
nat=no
insecure=very
host=192.168.1.220
context=from-internal

Summary IP0200 Phone Problems/Questions

Using this in Sip_Custom.conf:
[120]
type=peer
canreinvite=no
dtmfmode=rfc2833
nat=no
insecure=very
host=192.168.1.220
context=from-internal
secret=########
qualify=yes
port=5060
pickupgroup=1

Phone settings as shown: http://uncensored.citadel.org/~ajc/ip0020/

A) I can call out just fine.
B) I cannot dial In to this ext
C) Status: 120 (Unspecified) D N A 0 UNKNOWN (Does this means it is not registering?)
D) In Sip_Additional.conf there is also an auto-generated entry for 120

Questions:
1) Unregistered: The Type=Peer was described as a work-around because the phone wouldn't register. What does this mean? Should the phone appear differently in Pbx Status (C above). I tried Type=Friend and configuring the phone to try and register with no effect.
2) .conf files. Is it right that an entry is automatically made in the SIP_Additional.conf file? Does it conflict somehow with Sip_Custom.conf?
3) Is there some kind of registration log that would show the IP0200 trying to register and where it might be failing?

I have on of these phones,

I have on of these phones, however I seemed to have bricked it. It turns on and starts up but it dosn't respond to it's assigned IP address. I tried resetting it to default, but according to the manual I have to type in the MAC address on the - reSEt - Screen, how the heck am I supposed to type letters?

Anyone have any Ideas?

I did run Wire shark on it, it appears to be trying to find the TFTP but the source is only the mac address not an IP address.

RESET = 73738, just read your phone dialpad
