Granted I'm not a linux wizard, and neither the master of all things Asterisk / Zaptel -- but I have a distict feeling something is rotten in the 2.6.x release repo:
when I take a look at the 2.6.3.2 repo right now the kernel that is being installed through yum amounts to version 2.6.18-128.1.16.el5 -- yet the zaptel modules in the same repo are against kernel 2.6.18-128.1.10.el5. This means that the zaptel installation failes with a message alogn the lines of
Updating : zaptel-modules [ 4/23]
FATAL: Could not open '/boot/System.map-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5': No such file or directory
(HINT: it just did on my system, which is incidentially down atm)
which I guess is fair considering we are asking it to update toward a kernel that does not exsist. further once the instalation is done zaptel obviosly refuse to work with a message of roughly: FATAL: Could not open '/lib/modules/2.6.18-128.1.16.el5/weak-pdates/zaptel/zaptel.ko': No such file or directory -- again totally fair as the kernel modules never got installed.
So here is my (fair?) question -- unless I have completely missed something, as it stands now, running updates against the trixbox repo will result in non-workable installations -- so could someone please, please, please get it fixed ASAP !!
Thanks,
