SPA400, Incoming call delay

Hey folks... I have my first trixbox install setup at a small business here (Linksys SPA400 FXO box, SPA2102 FXS box for our fax machine, SPA942's for phones). In most regards, the system pretty much seems to be doing it's job so now I'm tweaking it to get rid of annoyances.
The biggest annoyance right now is a ~14 second (~3+ ring) delay on all incoming calls, *before* the call gets to the asterisk box (nevermind the slight delay that they experience within asterisk before my extensions start ringing, so figure a 4 ring delay grand total). Judging by the indicator LEDs on the SPA400, there is a slight delay before calls reach the SPA400 itself, but the bulk of the delay seems to be within it.
I timed the delays by watching the asterisk CLI (and/or tailing /var/log/asterisk/full) and watching for the call to come across - asterisk doesn't register an incoming call until 14 seconds has passed. It seemed like a good way of watching things in real-time but maybe there's a better way.
So I guess I have three questions
1) Is there a better way for me to time calls to discover what's causing delays?
2) Has anyone else experienced incoming call delays while using a Linksys SPA400?
3) Anyone have ideas to fix it?
The SPA400 has firmware version 1.1.2.2, which I believe is current. There are currently two incoming lines connected to it. It was setup following the "Linksys SPA400 Trixbox Integration Guide" originally found here: http://www.voipshop.com.au/pdf/SPA400Trixbox.pdf (apparently that link is dead now, sorry).
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark

What is

What is your setting on the SPA400 for the ring delay for caller ID pickup. The downside to these units is that in order to get caller ID you need to have a 2 ring delay set, which I believe is a standard setting.

Yeah, there is an "Answer

Yeah, there is an "Answer After: X Rings" where 2 is the minimum. I've tried changing that and it won't do it.
When I was initially testing the device I had a 2 ring delay, which I suppose made sense given that setting. It was only after moving it to 2 of our permanent lines, updating the firmware, and setting up a few further items in asterisk that I noticed the delay had gone up to 4 rings. So I guess really now I'm trying to track down the cause of the extra one-and-a-half or two rings.
Do settings in Asterisk (fax detection, etc) change the way that the SPA400 itself acts? Maybe I need to backtrack through my Asterisk settings if that's the case.

Looks like it was just fax

Looks like it was just fax detection that was causing the extra delay. I thought I checked that possibility yesterday, but I had disabled everything except the "Fax Detect" option, which was probably the most important one. After disabling it completely, the extra delay went away. Nothing shows up in the logs until after the fax detection has gone through, so that's what threw me off while trying to time the issue.
In any case, I'm back down to the 2-ring delay which seems to be inherent with the SPA400.
Thanks!
