Trixbox V2.6.0.5 Update package manager error: cache/outputYumAvailList.txt untangle error - *** Fixed ***

I just installed the latest V2.6.0.5 from the Downloads area. No problem there.
When I go to the package manager I get an error "The XML response that was returned from the server is invalid. Received - cannot write to file cache/outputYumAvailList.txt"

If you change the IP address in the network setup that works, but it also clears the DNS settings. You need to go back and re-input the DNS settings.

Secondly in Untangle turn off the Virus chacking package - you can then run the updates fine.

I am now having this issue

I am now having this issue in version 2.6.0.7 and can't seem to resolve it. All was working fine until I went into repositories and checked "trixbox addons" and now I get this error. I've tried updating the IP, no luck. Anybody else have a suggestion?

Same Problem

Ok, I have the same problem.... anyone fix this.. Did a google search, couldn't find answer

I've tried some of the fixes, none work. I can't recall any changes to the system that precipitated this. (In fact, I was in the menu the other day to add Aastra support as we're going to add aastra phones in the future, but other than that, we never go there. I was checking module revs today to isolate a problem, that's when we noticed there was a problem with Packages)

We were at 2.6.0. Thinking that this could be an issue, I yum updated trixbox and the system is now at 2.6.2.1 Other than this the system is working properly, but I am concerned that I can't add packages.

Help... if anyone has an idea let me know? (Btw, we checked the DNS, and the resolv.conf, both are as expected, plus the system has been stable, so I can't see were anything in network configs has changed)

Thanks in advance

Scott

Ok... tried all the repository 'fixes' in the forums. Now I have an empty packages page (nothing listed), but no XML error either.

Any clues, anyone?

I have the issue too -

Same issue -- I can reach the server, etc.

In fact, I found and removed from /var/www/html/maint/cache an existing outputYumAvailList.txt file --

I removed the file ..

Clicked on "Packages" -- within a few seconds got the error --

BUT -- a new outputYumAvailList.txt file was there!

So the error is actually something else being masked ..
