We are using an IVR with direct dialing capability for all incoming calls to our building.
For our staff on the road, I have had complaints that when they direct dial an extension and that person is unavailable (they get their voicemail), they cannot dial another extension; so they must hang up and re-dial our main number to get direct dialing functionality again.
Is there any way around this? Is VMX Locator a solution to this, or is there a built in feature that I am missing? It does seem strange that there is no way to either dial another extension, or return to the main IVR if a person does not answer when direct dialed.
