Custom Extensions on HUD Lite Panel

Hello,

This was something I have been looking into as I have just setup a remote box. The call comes in VIA my landline and VOIP to my first tixbox, this then enters an IVR where remote extensions are called depending on choices. However, I have split my extensions over 2 boxes because of expasion. one handles all the extensions in the building whilst the other manages the extensions for another company which have serveral offices in the UK.

Of course I wanted all these remote extenisons to appear in both HUD servers
So this is what I did. It is long winded by works.

Setup a new extension that isn't in use, give it the display name of the eventual destination. make sure you enable the mailbox.

Now go to the portal - where users can log in to look at messages and call monitor, under phone features set the unconditional call forward to the extension of yout ring group or remote extension.

now go back to the extension list, select the extension you just made and scroll down to where the device section is. change host to the IP address of the trixbox.

open HUD and it should work.

You will have to do this on both trixboxes if you want to add remote extensions so that each side can see each others rerouted extension.
