2.2
Where's the 2.2 beta? It's not available for download...and the update script isn't updating to the new version yet? I want it! :D
It should be posted tomorrow.

Are there any known issues with this version?...how close is it to becoming the "final" release?
It seems pretty stable but we will have it as beta for 2-3 weeks to make sure all the little bugs are worked out.
If your interest in it is because of Asterisk 1.4 being in it, this is not a new version of Asterisk 1.4 so non of the known bugs with that are fixed so Asterisk 1.4 will remain in the beta repository for the time being.

Upgrade via Web Menu coming??
Well the bug fixes were certainly one feature I was looking forward to...but UncleWard's fix is serving me just fine until the new version is updated. Mainly I just wanted to try the new features...especially the new GUI. I was also secretly hoping there had been some improvement to the dark tunnel-o-frames design of the web interface.
Anyone who manages projects on sourceforge can tell you that uploading files there can be a painful task. I have the files sitting on a wicked fast server and it is still going to take 3 more hours to finish uploading the ISO to sourceforge's servers. So be patient and a new ISO will be available sometime today.

Will there be an option to upgrade via the script for this release?...or will that wait until the final release?
When 2.2 is final, there will be a Package Manager upgrade for the dashboard.

Kerry,
is this version installed in de normal Asterisk setup?? Wich means.. asterisk dir in /etc/asterisk ???
Will CHAN_SCCP be supported?
This question because I had al lot of trouble istalling CHAN_SCCP in trixbox 2.0..!! And by a lot a really mean a lot..!! Because the install isn't in /etc/asterisk..
Why did you guys did that anyway?
greetings
AndyG
Hi,
chan_sccp works in Trixbox 2 without any issues if you install it from the package manager - we had no issues at all doing it that way.
You will need to follow the notes about not loading chan_skinny before you load chan_sccp. However if you upgrade Asterisk to 1.4 you need to patch chan_sccp before it will work.
Regards,
Steve
Do you know where the instructions for patching chan_sccp can be found?
Many thanks
Hi Guys,
Any idea when an ISO Image will be available from the Downloads page?
Boy am I anxious to get hold of it - you guys are doing an awesome job!
Cheers
Where are the notes you talk about on how to setup and use chan_sccp? I am guessing that is what I would need to make my Cisco7920 work with trixbox that I got my hands on, as I know it doesn't have any SIP code..
Dear Steve,
If it's that easy i will try it again today in VMWARE.. If it doesn't work by putting no load => chan_skinny and load => chan_sccp in the config file modules.conf I'll be BACK... ;)
And how about the not install in /etc/asterisk ?? What comes standard with Asterisk
Greetings
Andy
But which one?
trixbox-2.2.0beta1.iso
or
trixbox-2.2-beta3.iso
using any of the package managers
Huh?
I am looking at the download site and am seeing TWO iso images.
I want to build the test system from scratch, not do a upgrade.
So which ISO image?
Oh, and is this beta going to include Centos 5.0 beta??? :)
Well, if you want to build it from scratch, I'd go with beta3, otherwise, you could use beta1 and patch it.
I'm download and install Trixbox 2.2 beta 3 - i'm not found GUI from AsteriskNOW, only FreePBX, why? Wrong information in news?
I think u have to install it from the packge manager
Always use the latest version
To get the Asterisk GUI you have to install Asterisk 1.4 and the Asterisk GUI from the package manager
We will NOT use a beta version of the operating system for a public release. Once 2.2 is finished we will start looking at CentOS 5 and may start doing some beta builds on it to see how it works.

Is that mean u have to download asterisk 1.4 install it !!
After u have unistalled asterisk 1.2.X
Will all features on freepbx work - or do u have to use Asterisknow Gui and will package manager allow u to update 1.4.X
After you install trixbox you can then install Asterisk 1.4 and you can also install the Asterisk GUI.
NO, all of the features of FreePBX will not work with 1.4 and saving changes and hitting the apply bar basically dont work right. On the other side, Asterisk GUI is very very basic and doesn't have near the functions that FreePBX does.
So, why did we allow people to install Asterisk 1.4 (unstable beta-quality code) and Asterisk GUI (minimal features)? Because people wanted it. But please don't complain about it because it is not in our standard repository. If something is in the beta repository then you are using at your own risk and you should fully understand the risks in using it.
