Caller ID Superfecta - anyone got it working with trixbox?

I downloaded and installed this module. It installed fine and the debug feature works by looking up phone numbers. However, when added to inbound routes it does not work. I looked in the pbx in a flash forum to see what I could find out but nothing. Has anyone got this working successfully? Thanks.

Yes sir..

No hassles for me. Plug and Play and works great!

You did enter your user name and password (maint and whaterver password you have for maint) as that might make a difference.

You also might post your Q on the PBX in a Flash forums where the developers usually hang out.

Yes, I did put the maint

Yes, I did put the maint userid and password in. I tried to post in the other forum but it rejected it because I have to wait for the administrator to authorize my account.

Asterisk Phonebook Lookup

I have my cell phone number entered into the asterisk phonebook - however, it does not display the name I have associated with it on the CallerID.

The callerID is displaying the phone number for both the name and number fields. Before installation of Caller ID Superfecta the phone company would provide Unavailable(555-555-1212)

Thoughts of where to look to correct this?

A couple of thoughts...

1). Check your CDR and see what exactly is being reported by your cell carrier and telco as the the caller ID for your cell phone.
2). With that CID, make certain that CID is entered into your phonebook exactly as it appeared in the CDR.
3). Put the phonebook as the very top or first place to check for caller ID using the little up or dwon arrow-buttons.

It doesn't work! Debug

It doesn't work! Debug works fine. However, in the log and on the phones no caller id is working. I have Superfecta setup and assigned to all inbound routes. I don't know how to debug any further to see what I have done wrong.

Last Q from me...

Are you using TrixBox?

If you are using AteriskNow and there is one other distro I messed with, I think (senior moment), there are some permissions issues on some of the files as I recall. (Might have been with weather... so please don't hold me accountable. Been messing around too long on all of the various distros).

And you have your trunks caller Id source pointing to the superfecta?

internal server error

Maybe I should be able to figure this out but I am gettig

Internal Server Error

>The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
>
>Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done >that may have caused the error.
>
>More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

in the middle of the superfecta setup page and see no settings but the add username and password. of which I have done.

any thoughts?

edit:

Never mind I got it working. Not so well documented is that you need to :

yum install mod_auth_mysql

and then restart mysql

service httpd restart

-rob

-rob

RE: internal server error

This appears to be another issue with Superfecta that you have posted here? Do you think I should try this with my installation? My Superfecta setup page appears fine, no errors, and debug works. It just doesn't work when receiving incoming calls.

RE: Last Q from me...

I have three inbound routes - 1 POTs and 2 VOIP. My POTs line doesn't report Caller Id - a problem with Verizon Fios in my area that I have had for over a year!!). My VOIP lines report Caller Id numbers just fine. See an example of the number coming in below:

6. 2009-06-21 09:24:01 SIP/simonm... 9737223860 "9737223860" 600 ANSWERED 00:13

I have also included a sample of my asterisk log - I am not sure how to read this but hopefully someone can help me. When I run the incoming telephone number (9084892139) through the debug option in Superfecta I get "Long Branch, NJ Cell Phone" - so I know that Superfecta is working - it just isn't connecting it when the calls come in. I have posted in PBX in a Flash as well and got some initial responses but then everything went quiet so I don't know if I am going to get a response over there.

I finally solved this with

I finally solved this with some help from the folks on the PBX in a flash forum. My trixbox is setup on port 83 for the web server. Caller ID Superfecta writes a defauly port 80 lookup into the configuration files. Now I have to figure out how to change this (as there are no settings) and to stop Trixbox overwriting this setting each time I change something else. I started a new thread on this:

Consider it unsolved. My Snom handsets were matching the phone numbers against their internal phonebooks. As soon as I checked the log I noticed that it is not working. I reinstalled Superfecta but no luck. My log in debug mode is below if anyone has any ideas how to solve this. Thanks.

Caller ID Superfecta Maintenance Release v2.2.3 is now available

I am pleased to announce the immediate release and availability of the caller ID Superfecta module for FreePBX version 2.2.3.
http://projects.colsolgrp.net/projects/list_files/superfecta

Scope of Release
In version 2.2.3, several minor bugs were addresses -- and support for the new output only data source functionality has been included. As of this release, there are now 33 data sources -- those that collect data, and those that announced data through various external methods.
http://projects.colsolgrp.net/versions/show/56

Upon upgrading from previous versions of caller ID Superfecta, all your previous data sources, and their settings should be retained. Note: Some data sources may have different configuration requirements after upgrade than they did before. It’s a good idea to click through each of your selected data sources and make sure that any required configuration items are present, and set as you desire.

"Send to" Data Source Functionality
The Ability to send caller ID data to sources outside the PBX or telephones connected to it has been growing steadily in the forums for the last 30 days or so. The first data source created to send caller ID in this way was a data source to send the caller ID information to a running occurrence of the program XBMC. Since then several others have been added:

source-Send_to_Dreambox.php (Contributed by dev member Peter)
source-Send_to_Squeezebox_Server.php (Contributed by dev member Peter)
source-Send_to_XBMC.php (Contributed by tshif and Developer Patrick)
source-Send_to_YAC.php (Contributed by dev member Peter)
source-Send_to_Winunciator.php (Contributed by tshif, requested by user Cyrano)

These "send only" data sources allow users to send their caller ID information to a wide variety of third-party programs or processes.

The Win-nunciator
The Win-nunciator is a little different than the other sources mentioned above. The Win-nunciator data source is designed to work with a companion Windows program called the Superfecta Win-nunciator. The Superfecta Win-nunciator is a lightweight Windows program (less than 10 K. in memory when running), that uses the Microsoft speech API (SAPI) to verbally speak the caller ID name and telephone number at any Windows workstation. The Windows Superfecta Win-nunciator program should be just right to meet several kinds of needs. The Win-nunciator also displays the textual caller ID number and caller ID name while speaking it. To use the "send to Winnunciator" data source, be sure and download the companion Win-nunciator executable setup program, located in the regular Superfecta download repository.

Minimum Requirements
As the caller ID Superfecta system evolves, changes are made to support new functionality. As an example, the new "send to" only data sources require the Superfecta version 2.2.3 module to operate correctly. Effective with this release, data sources with known prerequisites such as this will have those prerequisites listed in the flyby help that pops up when you hover over the data source name.

That’s it for 2.2.3 – as always please let us know how the new version, and these really exciting new "send to" data sources work for you.

Until next time –
