CD Label

I am sending a trixbox CD to a friend so I wanted the first impression to be a good one. I put together a CD cover for the 2.4 version of the Community Edition. The cover is designed in Nero's CoverDesigner so you will need this app to print the image. I am willing change the format to something open if anyone has any suggestions.

Photo of a CD burned with Lightscribe:

☼ trixbox CE Nero CoverDesigner label (418k): trixbox_ce.ncd

☼ trixbox Pro Nero CoverDesigner label (418k): trixbox_pro.ncd

☼ trixbox CE & Pro OpenOffice CD label (258k): OOo_trixbox_cd_label.odg

I hope you have a use for it.

This may not be a bad

This may not be a bad revenue opportunity for trixbx either. Especially with the new 6 month release cycle. They could probably produce cd's for about a buck a piece pressed and sell em for $3-$5 to folks who would rather have a hard copy than to burn one.....

Perhaps the URL should be trixbox.org?

I created a CD template for OpenOffice and added the original post above. I tested on a NEATO cd label page and it seemed to line up fairly well. You might need to adjust it a bit, I would do a test print on regular paper, put the blank label page over the test page, and hold it up to the light to see how it lines up. Thanks for the kudos!

I totally agree and have changed it on all the labels.

I have updated the original Nero Label to include the correct URL and I added a little gamma to the trixbox logo to make it stand out on Lightscribe discs. This caused the file to swell about 28k. I posted a new photo of a new Lightscribe burned disc. Looks better in my opinion.

I also added a Pro label. Looks the same as the CE label, just has different text.

:)

Well... I hated the fact that the label was so big already. I tried to compress it down but it is already compressed. I guess if people are here using VoIP, they would have something faster than dial up and it does not matter... :)

I sent a few layouts to them

I sent a few layouts to them over a year ago in hopes that they would post them up. I have yet to see them anywhere else.
