Can anyone confirm if DASS2 is the same as ISDN30?
We have 10 DASS2 channels supplied by are local cable company who tell me it's the same as ISDN30. Can DASS2 be connected into a TB system? Thanks in advance.

Rob, DASS2 is the old BT

Rob,

DASS2 is the old BT ISDN standard.
It was superceeded by Q.931, which is the international ISDN30 standard.

You will find that most ISDN equipment, including cards & gateways will work on Q.931 but not DASS2

However you should be able to get your telecoms company to change the signalling to Q.931, its just a setting at the exchange end.

New Isdn 30

Thanks for the reply, I thought that was the case. I think I'm going to get a new ISDN30 line installed from BT then switch over the phone numbers once I've got the new Trixbox system up and running.
