Hardware (CPU) requirements

Hi Gang,

I need to install a new Trixbox CE system with a PRI interface. I have a Rhino R1T1 card, and have about 30 endpoints. There will be no, or very limited voicemail, no recording. About half of the endpoints will be G729, all the rest will be using G711u. Typical usage will be 10 simultaneous calls.

Using the latest 2.6.1 Trixbox CE version, I'm wondering what I need for hardware. I have a server here that would be perfect size-size; it is a Dual P3 933MHz with 1GB of PC133 SDRAM. Would this be enough horsepower? The closest similar system I have is running a single P4 1.8ghz processor, but without the t1 card, and it barely breaks a peak load average of .2.

Should be fine.
I personally would look into adding a bit of RAM if you have some laying around, but even without it you should be fine.
Keep ulaw and g729 prompts and try to minimize transcoding.
