Hi.

Has anyone used this cute little box (or anything similar) for installing trixbox:

http://www.powerc.com/uk/ps/MiniITX%20Intel%20Base%20Unit/1/code/...

- Intel® Dual Core Atom™ 330 Processor 1.6Ghz
- 1GB RAM
- 250GB SATA HDD
- Very compact Dimensions (WxDxH): 22 x 27 x 10 cm
- 1 x Full Height PCI Slot via included riser (for Digium/Sangoma cards ??)
- Gigabit Ethernet NIC
- Slim DVD-RW (convenient for installing trixbox with the ISO CD)

All this for only £217 + VAT.

Here are few potential problems:

- Dual Core CPU may result in kernal panic (during trixbox installation)
- Realtek LAN adapter may not be recognised with CentOS 5.2 (trixbox 2.6.2.2)
- Hardware reliability is unknown for 24/7/365 operation

Comments & thoughts are welcome.

Thanks.

Can't say that I would ever

Can't say that I would ever try any of the above especially since HP ML110/115 are under £200 brand new with 3 years cover

size does matter

mcconnellt,

I agree that the HP ML110/ML115 is a great (reliable & cheap) hradware box for trixbox, at ~£180.

But this Mini-ITX is a fraction of the size compared to an ML1xx server.
