trying to install G729 Codec. but Digium guys are not supporting me for trixbox (below is answer from digium support team), can i use older codecs and are they reliable ?

We cannot support trixbox installs for this reason (Old Asterisk Version). G729 requires the latest version of asterisk to work properly. You can download older versions of the G729 codec and try to install them. You can get them from here: http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telephony/codec_g729/unsupported/ but these are considered EOL or unsupported.
