I installed the Trixbox CE software on my laptop to test it and I LOVE IT! I'll be switching my server over next week. The problem I have is now I can't reinstall Windows XP back on my laptop. Do I need to uninstall the Trixbox software first? Everytime I load the CD, it says checking hardware configuration and just quits.

You'll need to remove the linux partitions with a utility like gdisk.exe or a similiar partition manager.

Can you give me the step by step? I'm a linux noob here. So, I download gdisk (probably to cd I'm assuming). Then, how would I load it? All I'm used to is a c prompt in DOS. Also, is gdisk open source? If not, is there a free solution for this? Thanks for your patience with me by the way.

1. Download GParted Live ISO

1. Download GParted Live ISO from below link
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843&pack...
2. Burn it to CD
3. Boot up your laptop with the GParted Live CD
4. Delete all LINUX partitions

XP cd

If you just boot to your XP cd and when prompted use the remove partions function in the setup, then recreate whatever partions you wish.
No need to download or burn a thing
