New Trix very choppy even internally

Hello

Just downloaded the newest Trix version and installed it on a new core2 duo with 2 gig mem. I first had it inside my home office with a comcast cable, then moved it to my office witha T1 and the quality is extremely choppy. Not just external calls, but even if I call the voicemail internally, it very very choppy. Seems as though if I reboot it, it corrects the issue for a few minutes
Any ideaS?
