Outbound dial route that uses POTS instead of default VOIP.

Hello,

By default our outbound calls do not require us to "dial out". It dials immediate through VOIP.

We would like to set it up so that when someone dials 9, it uses the POTS line located at trunk ZAP/w1g1.

The ZAP/w1g1 Diak Rule looks like:
1NXXNXXXXXX
1+NXXNXXXXXX
1407+NXXXXXX

The Outbound Route dial pattern is: 9|.
The Outbound Route trunk sequence is currently mapped to ZAP/w1g1

When we test, we get the "All circuits are busy" message.

At this point, I have made many changes and yet to find a solution to what might be causing this problem. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what we might be able to do to resolve this issue?

Thanks.

Try: Outbound Routes ->

Try:

Outbound Routes -> pots

9|1NXXNXXXXXX
9|NXXNXXXXXX
9|NXXXXXX
9|011.
9|311
9|411
9|911

Trunk Sequence
ZAP/g0 (or whatever your POTS trunk is)

Outbound Routes -> voip

1NXXNXXXXXX
NXXNXXXXXX
NXXXXXX
011.
311
411
911

Trunk Sequence
SIP/your_voip_provider

Then in your:

Trunk -> ZAP/g0

1NXXNXXXXXX
1+NXXNXXXXXX
1407+NXXXXXX
311
411
911
011.

Outbound Dial Prefix:

wwww

SIP -> your_provider

1NXXNXXXXXX
1+NXXNXXXXXX
1407+NXXXXXX
311
411
911
011.

Sadly, that did not work. In the Asterisk CLI, i get the message "TRUNK Dial failed due to CHANUNAVAIL - failing through to other trunks". VOIP still works fine.

I checked and confirmed that we are getting proper line voltage, so the trixbox is detecting the line is on hook right now.

I appreciate any assistance you can provide!

Thanks.

Could be the dial rules. Try

Could be the dial rules. Try removing the 1 from your POTS dialing. Sometimes POTS providers don't like 1 prefixes.

In your trunk sequence did

In your trunk sequence did you select Zap/g0 or ZAP/w1g1? What kind of analog card do you have?

CHANUNAVAIL means there aren't any Zap trunks to dial out on, not so much that the dial rules are wrong.
