PLease help

I am new to trixbox, i got trixbox installed from someone, and when we check our outbound dialing and all it was all good, now i have bought it to my office, and i have a windows network here, i want to know if it would work, today i tried to connect it through my computer through DHCP and i was not able to work on it, also i want to know if we could use trixbox as a server for internet and telephony both by putting another lan card on the server and connect other computers through the switch, how will i do it ?

Do you have the password to log on to the console?
You will have to run the netconfig script to change the IP. DHCP is probably running on the trixbox for the phones.
You also can't use it as a router.

i have run netconfig, ifcongif, service network restart
i am wondering if their is a problem with the network, but is their any possiblity that trix connects to the IPVPN and other computer on the network connects to trix, like windows server

if you run ifconfig what is the IP address for the eth0 adapter ? is it the same as the other computers on your lan ? Do you know if the person that set it up also enabled the DHCP server ? If so you may have 2 DHCP servers now on your LAN and that is not a good thing so one of them needs to be turned off. On the Trixbox you can run service dhcp stop and see if that does indeed stop thus telling you it was running. So tell us more about your network and the IP address range you are using and what the IP of the router or main gateway to the Internet is as well so we can help you figure this out.

yes it is configured now, all i had to do was to switch off the other DHCP server now everything is in control, extensions are created, SIP trunk is activated, now if i need to use call SPY 555, it connects in and the VOICE keeps on disappearing, also i have recordings set out for every call which is being placed, how shall i delete the recordings once they are not required, also, if i want to update the voice codecs, right now we are using the standard g711 alaw, if i purchase g729 from digium, how would it work on the system, beside that our network is very simple, we are using windows 2003 server to share internet connection on LAN, and all computers get aut0matic IP, 192.168.0.x , is this a good way to practice trix, we have not started dialing through Trix untill now, becuase we re waiting for IPVPN connection, once its available we shall test calls as wel,, but best that on local area, extensions are working absolutly fine, but sometimes we get sloppy break up, what would tht be , we are using cor2duo quadcore with 4 gb memory to run trix
please advice

Ok i have setup a SIP trunk and status shows its registeration, beside that i have extensions, now i am not able to dial out through extensions
