I am Trying to Get My Voice Mail To Email Out To My SMTP Server
I have spent a lot of time (Days) trying to get Postfix Mail (& Sendmail) to work using the PDF File ”trixbox without tears” as a guide.
I have Gone to DYNDNS and got a FQDN / Hostname and Pointed it to and installed the Client on my system, which is working according to PING –A and TRACERT. This is added to all areas that the PDF File,”trixbox without tears”, suggested to change.
I have install / Un-installed and Re-install both sendmail and postfix. At the present time it says that postfix is loaded and working correctly.
I have also stopped trying to send this to my regular email address and have changed it to a yahoo address that is some what different because it uses PORT 465 for SMTP, thinking it could be my ISP blocking port 25. This was changed and added to all the files in the ”trixbox without tears” Guide. I have also opened PORT 465 on the Windows Firewall and both of my Routers/Gateways.
So what is wrong? Does Perl Scripts or Java have to be installed for this to work?
Or do I need to create a “MX” Mail Record for the Host Name I got at DYNDNS?
It is a DNS “A” Record at the moment. Please Help if any ideas. Thanks.
P.S. – I am assuming this works using the 7777 simulation.
