we are unable get incoming calls in trixbox we succeed in making outbound calls.

PEER Details:

username=xxxxxxxxx
type=peer
secret=xxxxxxxxxx
pedantic=no
nat=no
insecure=very
host=xxxxxxx
fromuser=xxxxxxxxxxxx
fromdomain=xxxxxxxx
context=ext-did
canreinvite=no
allow=g729&ulaw&alaw

we have created extension for out bound route .also we are able to call between extension.
we have virtual number set for VOIP account.when somebody calls this virtual it keeps on ringing in
their phone.but there is no changes in trixbox or extension.kindly suggest your ideas.

John, do you mean that in

John,

do you mean that in peer details we should change

username=xxxxxxxxx to username:secret@host

I think while adding trunk, that registration field is left blank. will it affect incoming calls, why because we are able to do outgoing call

NO. Not there.

If you have a SIP provider and you only have PEER details, you will only be able to make outgoing calls.

To get incoming calls you must then go to the bottom of the trunk definition page and you will see there at the bottom "Registration" and below that "Register String". This is where you would add the login or registration string.

Thanks john, I went to trunk

Thanks john,

I went to trunk which is added for outgoing calls, added "username:secret@host" in the register string field. Now the call says "The number you have dailed is not in service, this is record"

We have:
a) added a trunk
b) added outgoing route
c) added extensions
d) added inbound route with set destination as "extension:2003" radio button
e) 2003 extension set in Xlite

Kindly let me know your thoughts

Well...

I have no more thoughts.

IS this a SIP provider or are you trying to link to boxes together using SIP?

If the latter, use IAX trunks. Lots of info on how to do that on the wiki and on these forums. Maybe a more experienced member can help you further.

Good luck!

John

Try user:secret@host/did as

Try user:secret@host/did as the register string.

problem in incoming calls with trixbox

This is some time after these postings, but I just went through the same problem.

For those who end up following these worn pathways...the answer, at first (for testing( is to create an inbound route which allows 'any DID, any CID' . On the Inbound Routes page, the DID and CID boxes at the top of the page should be blank. Direct the call to an existing extension using the buttons at the bottom.

That should get any incoming call through to the extension.
Then work on creating a route which maps the DID to the extension.
