SO with the release of 2.8 folks are going to start transitioning to dahdi and old habits die hard. So you will probably find yourself typing zaptel commands instead of their dahdi counter parts... I have written a script that helps kick you in the but without making you retype the commands.. if you type a zaptel command it prompts you with a reminder of the new command then calls the new command for you.
On your dahdi system do the following:
wget <a href="http://dontcallmyboss.com/projects/dahdi-compat" title="http://dontcallmyboss.com/projects/dahdi-compat">http://dontcallmyboss.com/projects/dahdi-compat</a> install -m 755 dahdi-compat /usr/local/sbin dahdi-compat
running dahdi-compat will generate links for all the old commands to itself then the rest is automagic...
