I just released 2.6.2.2. This is a rollup release we a bunch of bug fixes and the latest version of all our packages. All trixbox users are recommended to upgrade to this release. Especially 2.6.x.x users.

This release resolved the problems with the package manager not working and some PSTN cards causing kernel panics when the system is rebooted. There are also a number of small GUI fixes and enhancements. I also added support for some of the new Realtek netwrok chipsets that are not supported by CentOS 5.2

Please download the latest ISO from our repo

http://trixbox.org/downloads

for existing systems please do a yum update from command line.

yum update trixbox

This will get the fixes to the GUI and the package manager. You can also update zaptel to get the kernel panic fix.

It is certainly a sign that

It is certainly a sign that Andrew cares.

Microsoft has lost half their cash in 1 year, the economy is in the tank. How can anyone predict where Fonality and this project will be in a year. I also thing Fonality's investors would be quite upset if forward looking statements in a public forum.

I have been advising prudent users and resellers to shadow the repo from day 1 on a local server. It's not about the stability of Fonality it's control over what you sell.

Newb here

How exactly should the zaptel be upgraded?

The quote, "You can also update zaptel to get the kernel panic fix" makes it sound like this is a second step.

Just unclear and thanks.

You can update zaptel with:

You can update zaptel with: yum update zaptel*

Please only do this zaptel upgrade if you are experiencing issues with your zaptel card. Some cards don't work with the latest version of zaptel right away, so do some research before the upgrade.

If you update Zaptel make

If you update Zaptel make sure you update the kernel first. The two are dependent on each other.

Thank-you!

I am not having the kernal panics so I am fine. Now I know and the basic 2.6.2.2 update went well and all works as it should.

I find this stuff AMAZING! Magic almost!

Thanks a lot Andrew for this great boost to the morals.

Thanks a lot Andrew for this great boost to the morals.

On another subject, I was wondering if an already built VMware machine will be out the door soon, or shall I go ahead and use this iso to install my 1st server under VMware??

Thanks in advance

SATA RAID?

Does this do anything for SATA RAID support? I have been afraid to do any yum updates because the last one I did...and the the fresh ISO load of 2.6.2...hosed my install and took me to a GRUB shell on reboot.

By the way, Andrew, Thanks!

Problem whit New Installation TB 2.6.2.2

effected the Download of the last version of TB, installed on HP dx2300 microtower at the end he doesn't succeed in accessing the page of the pbx.

Index of / admin [ICO] Name Last modified Size Description [DIR] Parent Directory - [TXT] common 16-Feb-2009 11:08 1.8K [DIR] modules/ 16-Feb-2009 10:47 - Apache /2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at 10.92.17.126 Port 80

It seems that the script under /var/trixbox_.firstboot.init fails.

recorded event in the system.log:

/var / lib / asterisk / ease-bin / *.pl No such file or directory error% post (tb-scripts -2.6.1-12.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

the TB not working

I ran the update..

Was on 2.6.2.1 and ran the yum update trixbox and my UI stopped working. Did not want to battle it so went back to 2.6.2.1.
