trixbox CE 2.6 Asterisk update?^

is there any plan to update the Asterisk 1.4.22 version in the trixbox CE 2.6 or is that trixbox version end of life?

AFAIK if you want asterisk

AFAIK if you want asterisk 1.6, you have to install trixbox 2.8.
