i would have to agree with the DL

i installed tb 2.6.0.7 on a dl380 g3 and as far as i can tell the ml350 g5 should just work.

buy it on flee bay install and test if it goes tits up relist the thing and get your $$$$ back

I have a problem with the

I have a problem with the ML350G5. Trixbox simply will not install. Installation just stopped at a point.

Every cd i tried to check gives me errors while at the same time the same cds will install properly on any other machine i have tried on including VM. I also have changed the DVD drive to another without any results

The server runs on a intel xenon quad core and 2Gb RAM

Any ideas??

Trixbox on Proliant ML350 G4

Hi. I just came across your post, as I can see your question never got answered. I was wondering if you had came to a solution to your problem, if so, please help me.

I have a ML350 G4 server which I want to use for Trixbox and Samba Server. My problem is exactly like yours. Tried to install 2.8 and 2.6 without luck. As soon the installation starts loading the SCSI drivers the server freezes. The only time I was able to finish the installation was with the latest 2.8.4.BETA version of Trixbox, with lots of errors during installation, but was able to finish the installation. I have 3 Aastra 6370i endpoints, registered and capable of dialing out and reaching to them. The only difference I see now(from my previous system, home brewed box with 1.6GHz processor and 512MB RAM, worked perfectly fine) is when I dial to extension. After I type in the 3digit extension, shows Available on the screen(if the extension is available of course) and then dials the extension, on my old system(Trixbox 2.8.3) this was instantaneous without any delay, and never showed such message on the screen.

I am very skeptic to stay with the BETA version. If you manged to install IP PBX on your G5, any name, please share the knowledge. In advance, your answer is greatly appreciated.
