Is trixbox ce limited to ONLY 8 Channels???

I run a VERY SMALL wireless ISP in a rural area... I have maybe 25 customers... I am pondering the idea of offering VoIP phone service using trixbox ce. But when I set it up in my lab, I noticed it says "current channels 1/8" which means I was using 1 of 8 channels?

My SIP trunk provider that I am using allows me as MANY channels as I need, I simply pay for minutes...

So I am curious --- Is there a limitation in trixbox ce to ONLY 8 channels?

Thanks!

Where did you see this

Where did you see this message?

You need to be very careful about emergency services (911) if you intend to be a service provider.

PBX SETTINGS -> System Info

Hey Scott,

I saw what appear to be "percentage bars" on the PBX settings page, listed under the "system status" menu option... Its sort of a real time "whats going on with the server" page...

It shows me a green bar that grows as channels are used and shrinks when channels are closed... But the MAX (or 100%) of the bar is apparently 8 channels? When 2 calls are going on it shows 25% usage and says "2/8" which makes it seem like only 8 channels are available?

CURIOUS what you mean by "VERY CAREFUL"... I use Vitelity and they allow me to setup PER DID, the address associated to E911... Is there an FCC regulation or something further that you are hinting at????
