Trixbox Development

I been working on some modifications for the Trixbox Endpoint Manager (specifically Grandstream multi-line support) but I have been unable to reach any developers. The code is complete and in patch files, but if I can't give it to the developers writing it will have accomplished nothing. Does anyone know how to get involved in Trixbox development?

Re: Trixbox Development

Send a PM to andrew or Kerryg. They have responded to my inquiries in the past. But I know they are pretty busy now, give it a shot anyways

Re: Trixbox Development

Nobody has contacted me about anything like this. PM'ing is not a good idea as we get hammered with PM's. Posting here is the best way.

Re: Trixbox Development

The freePBX project has been working towards a provisioning system that integrates with device setup in freePBX, you might be interested in checking it out:

http://freepbx.org/trac/wiki/DevicesTakeTwo
http://freepbx.org/trac/wiki/ProvisioningModule

It's slated for the 3.0 release (see http://freepbx.org/trac/roadmap), so it's still a bit of a ways off.. For 2.3, we're working on some of the infrastructure to the GUI and devices, and hopefully will implement the actual device templates for that release. The basic idea is that instead of adding SIP/IAX/whatever devices like you do now, and basically filling in the raw asterisk fields, you add a "Polycom 501" and freePBX figures out the protocol, dtmfmode, etc etc, with minimal input from the user - although you can still override any field if you want to.

A bit late, but better late than never

Sorry to those that wanted to see this, I forgot about this thread here. The archive with the patch files is now available online http://www.t-forums.com/endpoint_manager.zip

I haven't updated my Trixbox system since the date given in the README, so it is possible these patches no longer work, but I consider this very unlikely.

Except that the endpoint

Except that the endpoint manager just went through an overhaul to fix some bugs and add support for Linksys and Polycom.
