I'm only experimenting with Trixbox for a month or so.
It came out of necessity, my old hardware pbx was half dying.....
I'm somewhat experienced with linux os'es, bsd etc.
Ok, the fritzbox popular in europe, comes in many flavours.
I used an 7170 wich has 3 analog fxo ports, 1 isdn fxo port and 1 isdn/analog fxs port.
Picked them up for +/- €40,- :)
(The newer FB's even support dect) They are normally used as an ADSL router, wich come
in two flavours analog or digital (also called Annex A and Annex B) it doesn't matter wich
version you choose cause both work for what we are trying to do.
Make sure you have the latest firmware installed ! the needed sip server is only in the last revisions.
- In your trixbox make as many sip accounts as devices you going to connect to the FB.
- In your FB goto System > Expert mode, and tick "Show expert settings"
next Telephony > Internet Telephony, add your created extensions.
We need to fill in the following :
Internet Number
User name
Password
Password confirmation
Registrar
They should register nicely now with the Trixbox.
-Now in your FB goto Telephony > Telephony devices, here we're telling the FB that we want
to add an ip phone which dials out through your FXS (landline).
Just follow the screens and note your username /password.
- In your Trixbox we now gonna setup the sip trunk.
I used these settings, i'm not experienced with these settings and am not 100% sure if they are right.

Ok, we're done we can now make a call with the analog telephone connected to your Fritzbox
through our Trixbox back into our Fritzbox to use the POTS/ISDN line.
There are also guides wich let you install TB on your FB, wich i didn't prefer.
