Anyone else having issues Outbound? Starting sometime today (Thursday), when calling out, I'd say 5 out of 6 outbound calls calling to another US number, I'm getting an Oriental woman's voice that my call didn't go through, so I know it's getting out of my Trixbox server. But then ever-so-often, the call will go through even to the same #.

After a couple hours, no response from Vitelity tech support yet on the issue.. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this...

Virtelity issue

Hey.. I actuall been going back and forth with their support and they did a band-aid. Apparantly, they are having an issue with one of their providers. Here's one of the responses I got after they checked the individual calls I had been testing on.
____
"This is a carrier end issue which will be resolved, but as a quick fix we just reroute the traffic. If you do come across others, just reopen this ticket and we'll reroute the traffic immediately to resolve the issue."
____

Basiclly what they did was call-route the individual # I was dialing and forcing it out to another provider, which worked fine after they did. I still have some #'s I can't call but they are less important and I can wait for them to fix it as a whole - I just use my VoipJet (sorry, wasn't supose to tell anyone..ha! ) and/or a POTS trunk.

But let me say, although it took the next day to get a response from support, they were very quick back and forth once I gave them good detailed information. Pleased with Vitelity.com so far.

me too

I am having issues with outbound as well. I had the "all circuits are busy" on monday and I am having major quality issues; the jitter is so bad I can't really communicate. I submitted a ticket and they say I should be using g729. I told them I have never had an issue till now and they came back that it was probably a routing/connection problem on my end. I am skeptical that this is a routing/connection issue. My network is working fine, in house calls are great, even calling another vitelity number is fine. It is just calls terminating on other systems. so did anyone figure anything else about this out?

switching to g729

I decided to switch to g729 some time ago and have been very happy with the results,
since I am using one DSL line to carry voice and web data. In addition, made sure
the router prioritized UDP over TCP.
