Hi Everybody,
I'm a serious newbie with trixbox. I've got one set up and have a couple of softphone so I can call pc to pc.
I would like to add a SIP trunk so I can continue experimenting.
The thing is, I want a CHEAP SIP trunk.
I don't need incoming (yet), voicemail or any other fancy stuff. Just a nice, cheap, hopefully reliable sip trunk that I can play around with.
Any help anybody can give me would be greatly appreciated.
cheap sip trunk
Vitelity or Teliax. With Vitelity you will drop about $30 for setup but that is applied to your minutes so it will probably last you a few months. My typical home bill is about $20 every 3 or 4 months.
I use both Vitelity (7 DID's) and Teliax all you can eat. They are both great services.
Like you I am new to tirxbox and for $20 you get a local number and cheap per minute charge. I can't comment on the service since I have only been with them for 6 days....

Does it make you nervous that callwithus only accepts payment via Paypal or Google Checkout? Sounds like a fly by nighter to me. Has anybody else used them?
if you want free
for inbound use sipnumber.net to get a free inbound number and for out bound i use voipcheap.com its only like 13 dollars for 90 days of free us calls and international is very cheap.
ive been like this for a year or more I only pay like 45 a year..

Aretta.com is $.0139 per minute and $1.49 per DID per month. No minimums and no recurring monthly fee. Just pay for the minutes.
I don't work for Aretta, by the way.
I got my freedigits.net number, how did you configure it on trixbox exactly?
thanks
I used CallWithUs for 6-8 months while testing our trixbox environment at work before putting it into production on a PRI. It worked great. I liked it so much, I'm using it on my personal home trixbox setup. I'm paying $3.99/month for a DID and very low per minute. I really only have it setup for entertainment purposes and for giving out the number to telemarkers and such, so it's cheap.

What about IAX2 who knows a good provider that support IAX2.
You can use Vitelity for IAX2. After you get setup with them you can just go in and choose the type of connection you want. I use IAX2 with them and I have been with them for many years. I joined back when they were sixtel.
Hi All
