Looking for VoIP Provider's SIP and IAX2 Servers

Charles, you're right, there are a bunch out there.. I use www.Vitelity.com as my "main" provider for outbound and have 2 DIDs with them, few issues here and there but for the most part, I've been very pleased with them. They are a pay-as-you-go service.

I sugned up for the FREE test account with www.VoipJet.com (opps.. wasn't suppose to say I used them), they give you $0.25 to do some testing and they seemed to work very good on their test server for outbound, was easy to setup. They are for wholesalers/resellers but setting up the test account is fine. I added 5 bucks to my VoipJet account and hoping they won't punt me when they relize I'm not a reseller. ;-)

I also setup www.voipdiscount.com which lets you do some tests calls, then you have to refill your account. They are overseas so you have to do some dialplans (they use to provide on their support page) but wasn't difficult.

I'm sure everyone will have their 2 cents on what their experience has been with all of these and more.. I'm always interested in learning more...

I like Aretta.com. They are Atlanta based and housed in the NOC there.

I have used several providers with varying degrees of success. I currently use aretta.com (my favorite) carriers.icall.com, voipjet.com and as many other Asterisk servers as possible using Dundi.

Those seem fairly high responses and the packet loss isnt great either, although this is subjective and tomorrow these responses may be totally different. I'm not sure creating a spreadsheet will help with that, unless you are going to collect data for a long period.

I would have thought recommendation would have been the best option, although your internet connection may be the issue.

Just as a test I pinged iax.rapidvox.com response was 92ms with 0% packet loss I then pinged test.voipjet.com response was 87ms and 0% packet loss
