Just wanted to make a note of this after fighting with my 7970 and trixbox, getting SCCP and it to work was a tuff enuff job i just had to figure out how to change this text!!

I am assuming that you know this phone is all configured from files located on your TFTP server.

On bootup the phone looks for a file called: /td-sccp.jar the is set in your SEPXXXX.cmf.xml file under:

English_United_States
en

So mine would be: /English_United_States/td-sccp.jar

if you don't see the phone asking for this file just add a letter or number beside the English_United_StatesX and that will tell the phone you are setting a new lang. setting ( reboot it after you have changed the file).

Next you have to get the td-sccp.jar, i found mine on the Cisco SBCS wiki : https://www.myciscocommunity.com/community/smallbizsupport ( look for the link "UC500 Software Download" ) then look for software releases for the UC500. with the UC500 files there will be the UC500 IP Phone localization files. I had to use the UK ones because the US isn't there.

Anyways inside this .tar file will be a bunch of .jar files, i picked the UK one again.

Open up the .jar file with WINRAR, under /resources/xml/ca-s-dircinary.utf8.xml is the file you want, open it in word pad and change whatever you want. I just change "Your current options"

Update the jar file with your new xml file, rename it to td-sccp.jar and sick it in your English_United_States folder on the TFPT and reboot the phone!

I searched all over google, havn't seen this solution so i really hope there isn't a esayer way to do this!
