I only have a day and a half under my belt with Asterisk/trixbox CE so I am a real noob. I found the thread for the 5212 SIP phone and tried the settings from the Wiki. When I call the phone from my X-lite all I get is the user is unavailable. When I try to call to my x-lite I get a "The number you have dialed is not in service" So I am pretty sure I am getting to the trixbox. My Mitel firmware version is 7.2. When I try to call the voicemail or any number I get the "not in service message" Can someone offer a suggestion as to what I may have wrong?

Thanks

Doesn't sound like the phone is registered properly to the Trixbox. Check username and password.

Under Quick start:
*User ID or Extension: [extension]
*User Display name: (max. 20 characters) [name]

*SIP Authentication User Name: (eg.userId@company.com) [extension]
*SIP Authentication Password: (max. 20 characters) [password]

SIP Servers
*SIP Proxy Server: [ip address of trixbox]
*Port: 5060
Scheme: udp

*SIP Registry Server: [ip address of trixbox]
*Port: 5060
Scheme: udp

Check firmware

Dont know if you have looked at my rant
http://trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/help/why-firmware-not-pu...
I was really struggling with a 5312 and the problem was firmware.
My problems were different as the phone was crashing and yours at least 'appears' to be working. Make certain your settings are as busster8 suggests first before firmware updating.
