Nortel 1100 Series with SIP Software
Hi all,
Just wanted to share with the forum that I've recently installed an Nortel 1140e with SIP software.
The tricky part was the password (which wasn't that tricky) but after getting over that hurdle everything was straight forward.
The software needs a little more development in my opinion but overall, not too bad. It has all the features you need. Onboard phone directory, toggle through viocemail, etc.
I'm using version 2 SIP software and have been testing it for about 2 weeks now.
Cheers
I have just converted a few 1140e Unistim sets to SIP. How did you figure out the password and configure the phone?
I figured this one out. I just had to set the right domain and choose an existing extension.
I'm a n00b to tribox and bought an 1140e to convert from unistim to SIP, but have been unable to upload the firmware via tftp so far. I originally tried flashing the firmware using tftp32 on a windows box without success then found some posts for trixbox but having other issues with the version mentioned in the post running on my laptop. It referred to Trixbox 1.1, which doesn't support my laptop's NIC. Can someone please document the flashing procedure (verbose) for flashing the Nortel 1140e from Unistim to SIP?
Thanks
Can someone PLEASE tell me how I can convert this god-damn phone to sip. The interface of the phone is so awful, It should be a straightforward procedure, but alas, we are having difficalties.
I have 4 1140E's that are just paperweight's at the moment, and trying to flash these phones is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
I would very much appreciate some feedback or some clear instructions as how to convert these, as I was sold them with the sip conversion in mind. Unistim is rather useless to me, as I see the unistim add-on for trixbox is rather unstable and further issues can arrise (such as one way audio etc)
Thanks in advance.
