Guys I need some help if anyone has any idea
I have Polycom 650 and 330 phones the extension range starts at 1100 .. 1101 1102 1103 etc. I have been able to take the phone off hook and dial 1101 1102 1103 fine after making a change to the digit map in the sip.cfg I can dial 9 and the local number when the phone is on hook and pick up the phone and it makes the call with the 330 and the 650. The 650 wont allow me to dial 9 and the 7 digit local number off hook it stops at the 6th digit. The Polycom 330 works fine off hook you dial the 9 and the 7 digit number and the press dial and the call goes out. Any ideas ?

Here is my digit map in sip.cfg

dialplan.digitmap="[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT|[1-6]xxx"

Thanks

I had a similar issue last

I had a similar issue last week on several Poly 601 phones, right after I did an Asterisk upgrade. They would dial from speakerphone, but not if you pick up the receiver. I solved it by doing a full reset/reformat on the phone, which forced it to reload firmware.

Thanks CarSalesman that is

Thanks CarSalesman that is exactly what we figured out. Even though I had already done it the day before I had to do it again and it fixed whatever was wrong. Now the only other thing I am trying to figure out is if "off hook" you can dial a 7 digit local number without having to press the send key. I have searched the forum and I have not found an answer to my specific question.

Here is my digitmap

This is for extensions which are 4 digits long. The 6th setting "|[2-9]xxxxxxT" makes at possible to dial a 2 through 9 followed by 6 digits. The T then makes it wait for the 2 seconds as specified for more digits. If none are entered then the 7 digit number will be dialed.

"[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|[2-9]xxxT" dialplan.digitmap.timeOut="3|3|3|3|3|2|3"

By the way, it looks like you have a bit of a conflict on your digit map. Your last 2 items "|[2-9]xxxT|[1-6]xxx" overlap. If you had an exension numbered 2045 both of them would be matched. This conflict is not a huge deal, but the last pattern could alos cause a problem with long distance numbers since it is set to dial immediately. Try calling 14155551212 and the last part of your digit map will take over and send the numbers right after you press the first "5"

Thanks Gerry your example

Thanks Gerry your example helped me get the local working. This is what I have now and it seems to work for local and LD calls. If you see any more error in my digit map let me know.

"[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|91[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|9[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|9[2-9]xxxxxxT|**xxxx|[1-8]xxx"
